NET Ardeal has been founded by a group of students from the
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
The name we have chosen to represent us came up rather naturally. The "NET" part is self-explanatory
in the age of networks and Internet. "Ardeal" may not be so obvious...It is another name for Transylvania
given a long time ago by the Romanian and Hungarian populations who lived here. It is still in use today.
The initiators are Mihai Greavu a.k.a. MiG and Daniel Prundus a.k.a. Dany. We worked part time jobs earlier for small companies in Cluj area.
It was at that time when we aquired a lot of knowledge about Linux, networks, servers, and Internet applications
(an example from that era, a Linux monitoring program can be seen at www.tamu.home.ro,
in Romanian language).
We started doing jobs over the Internet on whatever projects could be found. It was a success and with time new collaborators appeared, like Iuliana, an Arts student who takes care of graphic designs.
